National Childminding Week
The National Childminding Association (NCMA) will be holding its annual National Childminding Week, from 4 to 11 June. The theme is "aspiration", reflecting the fact that registered childminders and nannies are uniquely placed to nurture interests and build on the future aspirations of the children in their care.
During the week childminders will be helping children to investigate their own hopes and dreams for the future, from learning to cook or tie their shoelaces through to what they would like to be when they grow up. Childcare professionals will also be reflecting on their own experiences and what they can do to continue to provide the highest quality of care and education.
As part of the week, NCMA will also be arranging MP and Assembly Member visits and launching results of its research.
